The Folio Society
Independent publisher of finely produced illustrated editions of classic and contemporary literature, with specially designed bindings, commissioned illustration, and hand-numbered limited editions.
About the press
The Folio Society is an independent London-based publisher founded by Charles Ede in 1947 and an employee-ownership trust since 2021. It produces illustrated hardback fine editions of fiction and non-fiction, poetry and children's titles, featuring specially designed bindings and artist-commissioned illustration. Most titles are issued in larger printings, but a select few are hand-numbered limited editions produced in small batches with artisanal materials, making Folio one of the most widely collected names in finely produced books.
