Pyracantha Press

The publishing imprint of the Arizona State University School of Art, producing limited-edition handmade books and letterpress prints. It houses the Antonia and Adam Petko Type and Press Collection, described as the largest collection of type at any institution of higher education in North America, including an 1834 Columbian press.

Established in 1982 by Professor Emeritus John Risseeuw, Pyracantha Press is an independent publishing imprint at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, advancing creative research, education and community engagement. It issues limited-edition handmade books and prints, and its publications are held in over 100 national and international public collections including the Library of Congress, Yale and the Getty.
